The Meremere Dragway Night Speed Drag Wars Series is back for the 2019/2020 Drag Racing season and as always the first one promises to be big with our Guy Fawkes fire display and some tough racing with race entry cut off at 250 or 830pm (whichever comes first).

This is the first round of a new Night Speed Drag Wars series that has increased from six meetings in previous seasons to eight meetings this coming summer.

Run what ya brung!  Remember these events are for Street Legal vehicles only so your vehicle needs to be WOFd and REGO’d.  You must have a helmet and a minimum Restricted License for a car driver and if you’re a biker, you can race on a Learner License as long as your bike is on the LAMS approved motorbike list (just like the road rules).  Ensure yourbattery is securely fastened/tied down and if you have a rotary vehicle that you have a scatter blanket/shield. Lastly, in all classes except King of the Street, you can run D.O.T approved street legal drag tyres only but any other race slick is strictly prohibited.
