This is the ninth annual running of the New Zealand Junior Dragster Champs. This event is open to Junior Dragster racers only and is aimed at recognising the young and ultimately, future generation of the Sport. At every other meeting, they play second fiddle to every other class of Racing but once a year, these brave young racers have a day they can call their own – the New Zealand Junior Dragster Champs.

Racers are split into Junior and Senior classes and will race each other first in DYO format to determine the Beginners DYO, Advanced DYO and Masters DYO champion for the year. An entertainment area is provided.  Racing will take after lunch in the Beginners Heads Up, Advanced Heads Up and Masters Heads Ups format to crown the champions in those categories.
