Racing starts 1045am for qualifying 

The WELLINGTON INVASION is back AND will share triple billing as the second round of the NZ IHRA National Series Points as well as the NZ GROUP 1 NATIONAL SERIES round aptly named KIWI THUNDER. 
Group 1 on track at 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm and 7pm.  All other rulebook classes will run around these times.  If a class is still on track at these times, we will complete that class before starting Group 1. 

It’s the second round of the NZ IHRA Series giving those racers following the National Series a chance to add to points from round 1 in Ruapuna. In addition, we will have a strong contingency of Wellington and lower North Island based racers here to stick it to the locals AND the ground shaking action from Top Doorslammer and Top Alcohol.

This event caters to all classes as listed below. For those racers that didn’t get across the ditch to the Southern leg in Ruapuna, this will be the first chance to grab points and kick start the season. For those that did cross the strait, it’s time to stretch the lead.

Racers – please have your driver’s license, drag racing license, log book and IHRA NZ membership card (if applicable) with you when you come to entry.

GROUP 1 & GROUP 2 RACERS: Please ensure your vehicle has been weighed and that this weight is recorded in the relevant section of your log book before coming to Race Entry.

RACE ENTRY COSTS:
GROUP 1 = $160 ($140 with IHRA NZ membership)
GROUP 2 & SCO = $140 ($120 with IHRA NZ membership)
GROUP 3 = $120 ($100 with IHRA NZ membership)
Screamin’ Eagles, Super Street and Modified Bike = $80 ($60 with IHRA NZ membership)
Junior Dragster and Teen Racers = $20 (FREE with IHRA NZ membership)

Accommodation: please refer to Accommodation page on this website for options. Camping is available at track for racers and crew only. Please camp in the allocated camping area. NO camping in the Pits.

Travel Money and Prize Money will be paid as per the Pre-season newsletter schedule.
